DDC UK is the premier DNA testing service provider in the UK. All of our genetic tests are performed with the utmost care and attention to detail. You can trust us to provide accurate, reliable, affordable, and confidential DNA testing services.
We perform every DNA test twice. Through our special, proprietary Dual Process™, we run every test twice to eliminate the possibility of laboratory error, thus ensuring 100% accurate results. When the samples for a test arrive at our laboratory, they are carefully split into two groups for independent testing by two separate teams. Each team runs the samples through every step in the DNA testing process, carefully recording the steps as they go. When the two tests are completed, one of our laboratory directors compares the results to ensure they match. This built-in double-checking process helps rule out false results. Combined with our Biomek® FX and Biomek® 2000 robotics systems, which automate the DNA preparation steps and reduce the possibility of human error, our Dual Process enables us to achieve accurate results you can trust.
We perform extended testing and analysis when needed. The more loci that are analysed for a paternity or a relationship DNA test, the higher the accuracy of the result. The industry norm is to only test 13 or 16 loci. DDC will analyse a minimum of 20 loci on our DNA testing services, ensuring that our results are 500 times more accurate than other laboratories. Factors such as motherless paternity tests and genetic mutations can cause unexpected DNA test results. Our expert DNA analysts have the experience necessary to recognise unusual test results and, when needed, will test additional DNA markers to achieve conclusive, trustworthy results. In addition, we have the largest population database in the private DNA testing industry, allowing us to perform the extensive statistical analyses often needed to achieve conclusive results.
We are an industry leader in paternity testing. Throughout our years in business, we have formed successful working relationships with medical facilities, GPs, legal professionals, and government organisations around the world. When their clients need DNA testing medical and legal professionals recommend us.
Our laboratory is fully accredited. Our laboratory boasts accreditations from the most influential organisations in the DNA testing industry. We have ISO/IEC 17025 certification, as well as accreditations from AABB, ASCLD/LAB-International, CAP, NYSDOH, and CLIA. In addition, our laboratory directors serve as members of the AABB's Parentage Testing Accreditation Program Unit, inspecting other laboratories for adherence to AABB standards.
DDC Laboratories, Inc. has been accredited by the Ministry of Justice as a body that may carry out parentage tests directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969.
Our laboratory technologies and processes are designed for efficient testing, resulting in reduced costs for you. We have been expanding, and to keep up with demand, we have equipped our laboratory with the latest advancements in DNA testing technology. Together, our equipment and our test procedures, including the Dual Process, enable us to perform efficient, high-capacity testing. This, in turn, allows us to pass the savings on to you. Our processes are so efficient that we are able to run every DNA test twice for less than other companies charge for one test.
We take special precautions to maintain your confidentiality. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. To protect it, we have established numerous safeguards throughout our testing and client service processes. For example, we never release information about a case to anyone who is not authorised to hear it. Every time a caller enquires about a test, we verify that he or she is authorised by requesting specific pieces of information that are unique to the case. In addition, we never release test results by telephone. Furthermore, we will be sure to carefully follow any special instructions you provide about how we should communicate with you about your DNA test.
